Why choose Wedding Geese?

Some guests bring a certain presence.

Wedding geese bring charm, character and a carefully managed degree of uncertainty to the day. Whether grazing on the lawn, wandering into group photographs or becoming briefly fascinated by a canapé, they create genuine moments your guests will remember.

Our experienced Waterfowl Experience Hosts work discreetly with venues, photographers and wedding coordinators to maintain the delicate balance between whimsical and recoverable.

“Every wedding deserves one detail nobody quite knows how to react to.”

Meet the flock

Character comes naturally.

Each goose brings something quite individual to an occasion. Some bring several things.

Clementine, between engagements.

01 / Lead goose

Clementine

Confident, impeccably presented, and keen to establish a relationship with your registrar. Boundaries are discussed in advance.

02 / Reception specialist

Rupert

At ease on country lawns and around well-dressed company. Takes a close professional interest in the canapé service.

03 / Guest relations

Margot

A quietly commanding presence. Enjoys floral arrangements, long walks and the centre of whichever photograph is being taken.

Flock members are selected for the occasion. Named geese are subject to availability and temperament.

Frequently asked questions

A few perfectly reasonable questions.

Are the geese trained?

Our geese undergo an extensive familiarisation programme designed to prepare them for the sights, sounds and emotional intensity of a modern British wedding. We do not use the word trained.

What happens if a goose becomes aggressive?

Your Waterfowl Experience Host will assess the situation and, where appropriate, deploy the Containment Crook. Guests are asked not to negotiate independently with a goose.

Can a goose carry the rings?

Decoratively, yes. Legally and emotionally, we recommend the best man retains the actual rings.

What if it rains?

The geese are broadly supportive of rain. Your venue may feel differently.

Are there unsuitable venues?

Indoor-only venues, formal dining rooms with pale carpet and sites containing ornamental swans require a pre-event assessment.

Will the geese remain in the designated area?

The designated area is explained to them on arrival. Our Waterfowl Experience Host remains nearby to clarify any differences of interpretation.

Can they be present during the speeches?

Yes, although we cannot guarantee that all remarks will originate from the top table. We advise against inviting audience participation.

Tell us a little about your plans. We’ll help you identify the right level of goose for your day.

A note on venue suitability

A lawn is helpful.
A pond is negotiable.
Swans should be disclosed.

Are there ornamental swans at your venue?

No payment is taken. Enquiries do not constitute a booking.
